August is here

Picture from 2008 but it's one of my favorites.

It’s hard to believe that summer is nearing an end. I know the triple digit temps will hang around but this is the month that school starts up again. I’ve got until the 23rd or so to continue doing riding schools so if you are interested, act quick.

Hopefully some of you watched X Games 16, it’s amazing how much all of the sports have progressed. To me the skateboard big air and bmx big air looked to be the gnarliest event. Rallycross was cool but I really thought that the track was hard to follow on the solo runs and with all of the cars breaking down, many of the top drivers were sidelined.

My brother Cameron is coming to Denton today to ride some moto with me this week. I am excited to see him and share some of my riding spots with him. I had planned on doing the hotter than hell race at the end of the month but changed my mind after talking to some friends that said it’s a zoo. Instead I think I will be racing the torn race at bowie extreme, hopefully on a 450 KTM, the two stroke would be a disadvantage at a track like that.

I know things on the blog have been slow for the past few months. The only racing going on has been the national enduros as the local series take a break during the summer months. At the end of the month things start back up again so there will be more content. I plan on racing a good bit of bicycles this fall which I am really looking forward to. Devon Coetzer decided to move into the newly open room at the house so once he gets back I’ll have a bicycling partner under the same roof.

Hope everyone has a good start to the week, the weather man is calling for temps near 105 so its going to be another hot Texas day.

Thanks for reading,
Cole

I would like some info on your riding schools. I am interested in lessons for a ten year old boy who is also a TORN rider. We live in Springtown and would appreciate info about rates and dates. Thanks, Scott
