The days following the River Ranch GNCC were spent at the beach, and in hotel rooms trying to recover from the three hour sand-fest. I broke down on Thursday and got a massage because I couldn’t stand the way my legs and back were feeling. I was hydrating and eating as often as possible to try to get my fuel levels back up before the General GNCC. I raced the General once before in 2008 and I remember it being extremely rough and rutted. River Ranch GNCC

A few weeks before the first round of the GNCC series, I received a call from the guys at Moose Racing. They asked me to be a part of the 2013 gear shoot during bike week in Florida and I booked my flight the following day. I sent my KTM 250 (changed from a 300 for XC2) with the Otto family and arrived at the track Sunday night. Jason Hooper and his fiancĂ© Krista picked me up from the airport and we were soon at the River Ranch resort. Sumter National Enduro

This past weekend, I attended the opening round the national enduro series that was held just outside of Sumter, South Carolina. I have raced this event three other times and the conditions are always rough, tight, and sandy. This year was no different as perfect dirt and temperatures in the sixties offered near perfect racing conditions. Steve Leivan had been pushing me to race this event since the beginning of the year and after the Bonita TORO, he loaded up my KTM 300XC and carried it back to Missouri.
